slight modifications

Sometimes slight modifications to an existing worksheet or project is all that it takes. I haven't had a JW child in several years but I always I sat down with the parent and child early on and shared some of the things I knew I was going to do and asked for help in modifying it, if possible. The only thing I've ever goofed badly on was letting a JW child attend a patriotic school assembly. It was not aimed at a particular holiday but was about our country in general. I wasn't sure and gave the child the option of attending or not. He stayed and enjoyed it but the kid he carpooled with did not attend and told on him. He got in trouble and I got an ugly note from the mom.
