Day one...the pacing guide saga.
By newoldteacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Well, we aren't getting extra pay and we are losing our meager planning time to boot! We have to go WEEK BY WEEK and write down what skill/COStudy number we will be teaching (we already have to document COStudy numbers on each subject, each day of our lesson plans. I think it makes little sense to stretch meager resources this thin. Of course, we are still supposed to make sure NO child is LEFT behind....Doesn't matter if the teacher's get left in the mess! We did one subject today. Have to "find" a time to meet as grade level to do others.

I think everyone is "union-shy" because they fear what sort of legitimate, but harsh repercussions board of ed. would levy. :(
