I am so glad I stumbled upon this post, because I have be thinking about reading at home all summer and how to best handle it this fall. I would love to see or hear more about the thermometer and the reading board that Kimberly was discussing in her post. I also read somewhere that some teachers have the kids graph minutes read and then com[pare totals from week to week and month/month.
