www.adrianbruce.com He has an R control game you can print...I used it and also adapted it into an advanced version (when the yare ready). On the advanced version I just place ir,er,ur,and ear on the card and they have to give a word. (The game gives words) Also, I play tic tac toe: set up a tic tac toe grid and before playing, ask the student which R control vowel he/she wants to use. Players must write words that only contain the r controlled vowel to win. You lose when you can't think of any : ) I used the card game for gr 3-6 and they love it...they are uneasy with my advanced version. http://www.firstschoolyears.com/literacy/word/phonics/vphonemes/vphonemes.htm Another good site! Let me know how it goes.
