fun exercise

My class last year --we calculated what we could do for physical exercise to equal walking a mile. and we fixed a scale to "exercise" our way across the country.( 1 mile equalled---5 miles)left Manteo NC and ended up in California....kept up with it on a map with Pushpins...kids did it even when they were finished with their work, and we did it together..we actually made it by the first week in may...we also celebrated getting to certain landmarks....had a great time doing it!
