1/2 Combo

Wow! I have just been asked to do exactly the opposite. I have been teaching second for 4 years and my prinicpal just asked me today to teach a first second combo. I have always been afraid of first grade and we are year| round so I end this year June 29th and get my new class July 10th! So, I am trying to crash course first grade. Check with your district because we have district themes set by grade level. So for us I must teach: (Science) matter, geology, plants, (Social Science)community helpers, important people in history, (Lang Arts)We have set objectives based on the state standards as well as core | |
literautre, etc. I have a booklet my district prints for each grade that delineates what our students are supposed to learn and what topics to cover.
