I actually have some experience in the urban schools. Last semester and this semester I have been doing my methods in an urban district, one that I did not grow up in. However for student teaching there are more choices for the schools and this school in my community is offered. Its only 10 minutes from where I live and since I know a lot of the kids and parents I thought it might be a good idea. So I'll have both urban and suburban experience, and that way I can better decide where I want to teach. Right now with doing my methods I just don't think I'm cut out to teach in the urban schools, so I want to give this suburban school in my area a try.
