I don't see a problem

I know some teachers disagree, but I think teachers should be a part of the community they teach in. Whether it's seeing kids at church or at the local grocery store it shouldn't matter. I think you just have to be aware that the potential exists to question objectivity, but it probably wouldn't be a problem if you're aware of the possibility from the start.
