sticker FOLDER idea

This year I'm going to "borrow" an idea I saw our speech teacher using last year! At the beginning of the year she gave each child a blank pocket folder to keep papers in. For each holiday/new theme/ special event she gave the students in her speech class a sticker that corresponded to the holiday/event etc. At the end of the year they had a snazzy looking folder all decked out with stickers of turkeys, presdents, hearts, birthday cakes, ETC ETC ETC! This teacher told me that not only did the students love the stickers and learn about symbols.. she actually would ask them questions like ... Did you receive the turkey sticker before or after the pumpkin sticker? WOW .. great timeline activity Good luck! ali
