Maths Project. By Rebecca

I had a maths experience with my year 1/2's and their parents at the end of last term. We used a spall packet of smarties and did a "whole pile" of maths activities.
* Counting them. Estimate first.
* How many different colours.
* Graphed the colours.
* What shapes we could make.
* Sums. + and -.
* A number story.
I gave strict instructions that the children must watch their parents so they wouldn't eat them. The children were allowed to eat later.
My kids and parents loved it.
