Mnemonic learning aids
By 5thGrdTeachTN

Clip to ScrapBook
We had open house yesterday and a parent shared with me that her son has a learning disability and that mnemonic devices help him a great deal (especially in math!). The only one that I have used with students is for order of operations:

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally (Parenthese, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction).

I know there is one for division that has something to do with McDonalds, but that's the extent of my mnemonic knowledge:), so...

any other mathematical mnemonic devices out there? Please share!
