I teach 3rd grade in Texas also. After reading your post, I'm so thankful that my principal allows us to wear capris and sandals when it's 100 degrees! Plus, we get to wear jeans every Friday! I hope you get about 50 responses....print them out and present them to the school board! Also, maybe consult your local professional organization (like TSTA) and ask for the lawyer's help on this.
