You need a new heavy duty hole punch!

I bought one with a large swing arm. It is not a 'rectangle shape'. With the new heavy duty hole punch, I had no trouble hole punching the overheads. I punched only one at a time.

I am now using sheet protectors too for some of my transparencies. The transparencies would stick together, making it difficult to turn pages in my binders. If you stack papers like I do, it is easier to pull out a sheet protector, than to find the transparency in the stack. Also the transparencies that come with the reading, math, and social studies programs are so thin, I am afraid of tearing them. Usually I just write on the sheet protector. After my lesson, I can file away the transparency and wash the sheet protector when I get a chance.

Speaking of transparencies, I've heard that you have your copy machine make a reverse image of your master. That way when you are writing on the transparency, you are writing on the page without ink. I've not tried that yet.

    Good Luck Hole Punching!
