I am setting up my fifth classroom in 7 years. Because of my husband's job, I have moved around to several states and I am now starting in another brand new district in a brand new state. I normally am so excited to start decorating my class and set up (in fact my room is often used as a model room in my previous schools). I love to plan ahead and get all my centers going but this year is different. I don't really feel like going in and setting up. I see all the teachers in my school getting ready and my room is the only one not set up and I couldn't care less. Don't get me wrong, once my students are in I will give them my 100 percent...its just the initial setting up. Every year I spend hours making posters and going to Ikea, ect...and then I have to take it all down or leave it behind. My husbands position will keep me here for at least three years but I think I've burned out. I know that if I don't get ready soon, my whole year will be affected. Help! How can I get myself motivated?
