regional differences

I think it depends on where you live. Here in NY nearly everyone wears a suit to an interview. However, several years ago I interviewed in Florida and I was one of only a handful of teachers at the Florida Teach in wearing a suit. Most people were dressed much more simply. There were even people in shorts and sneakers.
