I like a song called "Every Child a Promise" by a Hawiian singer called Robi Kahakalau.

In every child there is a promise
There's great potential in their hearts and minds
They only need a little kindness
Patience and Guidance to help them fly

    In every child a promise
Love them so they can see
    Each one is very special
    Be part of their dreams

This song will give you the touchie feelies and very likely no one will have heard it before so they will only associate it with your program. I've played it a lot in my classroom.

I also like an African song called "Awa Awa" The tone is very uplifting although you will not know what is being said. My 6th graders love this tune. It is on the soundtrack for the movie of The Wild Thornberries.
