You just described my back to school dream (well--nightmare!) My school splits up the students with IEPs (gifted together, emotional support together, learning support together, life skills together, ESL together...)

I have the ESL students. I believe there are 4 or 5 students from varying backgrounds (we don't have our official list yet, so I haven't had a chance to read their files). HOWEVER since finding out that I have the ESL students, I've had a dream (EVERY night) about having a class full of students that don't speak English, that don't understand me and can't communicate with me!!!!!!!!

We have an ESL teacher (I have no certification or training whatsoever. We don't have a bilingual classroom either--how could we? These students speak a variety of languages) who will meet with my students about 40 minutes per day. I'm very anxious to find out how much English these students know.

I'll let you know what I find out!
