Sometimes, students are so scared to show their peers that they CAN'T do something, that they won't even try. Then they can say "I chose not to do it." Rather than "I can't do it." If you have a good relationship with a child, you can say, "Do this for me!" and they will take that risk, just for you. I'm not saying you don't have a relationship with your kids, :) but I thought maybe increasing your relationship might help. Jenny
