I draw a cloud on my white board. I warn the children when it is getting too loud that I'll start calling numbers for my cloud. Sometimes I will just put the number in the cloud after a warning. The people in the cloud have to stay in for recess. Other times when it's the whole class, I stop immediately and have them put their heads on their desks. We've stayed in from recess to do this as well. You might also want to rearrange seating. Sometimes all they need is a week in old fashioned rows.
