I have read an old story that actually has 3 books in a series for the past 4 or 5 years- My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannet. My students love it and often bug the librarian for months and even years later trying to check them out to read them again. She even had to buy more copies for the library! The second book in the series is called Elmer and the Dragon and the last one is The Dragons of Blueland. I highly recommend it! Kelly
