How about a giving tree? Take a small branch from a real tree (or use artificial) and stick it in a coffee can with sand or small rocks. Use die cut apples to hang from the tree, each with a "wish" written on it. Encourage parents, or place a little sign by it, to pick an apple and donate that item. Good luck!
