    An Elmo is basically an overhead projector without the overheads! It projects whatever you put on top of it.

    It is really good for using with math manipulatives or modelling for students. I like to do a model with the students and then my example is available for students who are absent to see. Also, if I expect students to have certain notes out or be on a certain page, I project that page so students can see where they need to be.

    Do you also have a projector connected to your computer? I find this a very valuable tool.

    One thing, I do still have my overhead projector and use it. So, if you can, I would have both.
