Hi I'm working on my master of education in measurement and evaluation. My last test is tomorrow :)

Anyway, here is interpretive test straight from my book. It's kind of long, sorry.

Interpretive test exercises compreise a written presentation followed by a series of items examining students' ability to interpret the material. The written presentation might consist of a brief story, a newspaper article, a musical score, a patients's history, a chart, or a table. The questions can be concerned with facts contained in the presentation, interpretations and inferences , or issues requiring the student to draw on previously learned information.

The rest of it goes on reference a chart. Basically it shows that there are question that can be answered from the chart, and then the interpretive questions are things like what is most likely to happen. What is least likely to happen. Things that they gather or interpret from the story, graph, picture, etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Gina
