I enjoyed these responses. I also have a 4/5 split this year. I haven't taught in a classroom for 9 years now, and when I did, I had 1st and then K, so this is a HUGE change for me!! There's more to it, but suffice it to say, this is also a small school, so no one else teaches 5th grade, and the other 4th grade teacher has a 3/4 split. We also teach some subjects in different languages. So you're not alone in wondering how it'll all go together- lol!
