I live in Florida but my best friend just moved to Farifax County. She lives in Centreville and her son will be going to Londontown Elementary. She is hoping for a smooth adjustment.

I was highly offended by a teacher

up there though. She was told that her son would probably be behind because our schools in Florida were so behind. I couldn't believe this was said. I teach my heart out everyday and I don't know how my 2nd graders could be taught at an even more advanced level. So I checked the standards and low and behold they are the same as mine here in the supposedly low state of Florida. I'm

not saying you feel this way...I just couldn't believe it when I heard that.

I have heard and found online that Farifax county is one of the top in the country.
