postcard exch. Its easy

Clip to ScrapBook
Your primary responsibility will be to make sure a postcard is sent to each school on the list that I will send. This is how I go about it.

I ask students to donate the stamped state postcards (no cost to you this
way). We write a generic paragraph together of a couple state facts and an interesting piece of information about our state. Students can copy this paragraph onto the post cards.

I also make 2 copies of my list and cut up one of them to pass out the addresses. The students glue the addresses on to the post cards. The second copy I keep incase students lose their address.

I then just mail them out. Once the post cards begin coming in, students get really excited. I put up a USA map and after reading the postcard, we attach it to the bulletin board with a string connecting it to the state it is from.

We are still in need of a school from each of the following
states: AK, AR, CO, DE, HI, ID, IA,
LA, ME, MD, MA, MN, MS, MT, NE, NV,
OR, SD, UT, VT, WA, WY

If you are interested or have any questions, please send your name, e-mail
address, grade level, school name, and school address to me
at klo3463@aol.com We need one school from each state to
participate.

Sincerely,
Karen – 5th Grade Teacher – MI
