I was clear across my state....almost 500 miles from home, with my husband who had a meeting he needed to attend for his job. We made a mini vacation of it. To pass sometime, I went to the local Wal-Mart, picked up some cheap notebooks and folders and other school stuff in massive quantities... As I was checking out, I explained to the clerk I want that stuff separate than my own junk for home, I was a teacher buying stuff for my students, etc....She complimented me for caring ( Hurrah!! someone noticed!!!) and then got WIDE EYED when she saw my address on my check.. She said, 'You drove all this way just to get 10 cent notebooks???!!!" Yea...just a crazy, back to school teacher shopper gone mad. :)
