    Big buzzword

    Yes, differentiation is a big word in education today. Because we as teachers are no longer expected to be the 'sage on the stage' but the 'guide on the side', we are expected to make lesson planning more fluid and flexible, according to what our students need and their ability.

    Just finished my master's and it was THE key word. Shantina had it right. Flexible grouping and fluid grouping is important. Meeting the kids where they are and moving them forward....all the way to HOPEFULLY what they need to know for NCLB....that is the hard part. Also changing up your teaching strategies to address all kinds of modes of learning.
