Flo,
Hello. I am doing a lot of new things during my ABC (Working With Words) Center.
I have them trace their spelling words from those big plastic $ store letters
stamp their words with ribber stamps
flash cards (sight words form previous spelling words)
I made sign ABC language cards for them to spell out their spelling words with.
I laminated ALphabet pages so they could practice handwriting
I have word family wheels that they make
crosswords (word family)
Word searches (spelling words). A good sight is puzzlemaker.com
I also have my pocket chart near this center where | |
they alphabetize their spelling words.
Complete sentences with their spelling words.
make word families with sentence strips.I hope these suggestions help.
