Most places, the approval of school board is just formality. Usually if a principal submits a name to the board of someone they want to hire, the board just stamps their approval, since they are the hiring/firing body of the district. I'm sure there are some cases that a board member might challange or not approve a particular person if there was someone they preferred to get the position, and knew they had interviewed. This usually happens in smaller districts where everyone knows everyone else.

After your approval, you'll get your contract, probably with a list of paperwork you need to provide to the district (certifcation, background check, etc.) if you haven't already. They'll let you know what they need. :)
