    "Out of Control"

It must be something in the air! I, too, have a very energetic bunch, very low level, and AWFUL listeners. Out of 19, I have at least 10 who cannot sit for even 5 minutes without constant reminders! 3 of these 10 are extremely disruptive. I have had the child study team in to observe, but it will take time. I, too, am very frustrated, and find myself acting so "unlike" myself. I agree, massive doses of bribery work! I have them sitting in groups and give out "group points". The winning team each day gets to do everything first the next day--get their coats for lunch, line up, etc. But, it, too doesn't seem to be working. They are very young and don't get the reason they are in school. I have no advice, just thought that maybe "misery loves company" and it might make you feel better that it is not you! I'm not ready to give up yet. I WILL NOT let 6-year olds get the best of me! I know in the long run it will prove to be a great year of experience for me, I just hope I survive it! A colleague made this analogy for me: It's like castor oil, you know it is good for you, it is just a little difficult to take. Good luck and keep in touch.
