prioritizing what to teach
By Jalon

Clip to ScrapBook
As Linda mentioned, that is definitely something I'm trying to do, as best I can. Without texts, and two of the texts being new and just now distributed, it is a little hard, but I know during our meetings the week before
school starts I'll be better prepared. My textbooks and teacher manuals should be moved into my room this upcoming week.

I'm looking at our 4th gr. curriculum am trying to rough out what goes first, etc. In Science, we have to share these huge kits we have, so those lessons will have to go in a rotation form with other teachers. I plan to start out slow, working on procedures,
etc., and a kind of review the first week of what they would have had in 3rd grade to get them up to speed and ready to jump in to 4th. I'll gradually introduce all the new stuff in the first couple of weeks.

It's great to read all the suggestions and reminders to be calm. :)
