RE:MORE???

Hi Trishia:
You have a big problem on your hand, especially when the parents/caretakers already know of the problem and have given you 100% support because they don't know what to do either. I am sure your principal is
aware of this. Does your school have a Human Resource / Intersession/Intervention program? I strongly suggest contacting a school psychologist and have an IEP for this student. If nothing helps- a special ed. assistant must be assigned to the student. I have had one child where a special ed. assistant constantly is with the child during instructional hours - the time limit ,I believe, is
3 weeks. If no improvement is made, then the child is re-tested for either special ed or least restrictive environment special ed. program. Good luck. The child is lucky to have a caring teacher !
Jim
