using spirals

I used spirals for Interactive Notebooks last year. I taught second grade and we didn't use them everyday. This year it is mandated that we use them in science several times a week. I didn't have trouble with wear and tear and the kids loved them. This year I am thinking about storing them in a basket in the room and passing them out when we need them, but I haven't decided for sure. I like the bigger pages of the spiral.
