20 dollars so far. Today bought a few things at the dollar store. I spent a lot more during college, student teaching, and first year. I plan on using a lot of my manipulatives and posters and things from Kindergarten for first grade this year. I thought I was orginally teaching first so I already had the file folder game books and things like that. I am really planning on not spending much because 1) we are in the process of moving and need the money 2) we get no reinbursments ( school provides office supplies, kids provide personal supplies) 3) I am getting paid less than 30,000 a year as it is!!!
When I first got into the field I picked up anything and many things I didn't use. So now I am trying to make better choices and will probably pick up things as needed instead.
