Since this is my first year teaching math, I'm going to follow Saxon exactly as it is in the book. The same with Shurley, even though I've used it before. I guess it just really bothers me that there are random lessons that aren't in a cohesive unit. I know that both programs work; I just have a hard time "thinking outside the box" from what I was taught to do.

I've used Shurley before, and I really like it. The teacher's manual is really difficult for me to use, though. I guess I just don't like the layout, and it's hard for me to look at.
