math centers

after a week of free exploration centers, I begin number centers.For example,"Show ways to make 4 with" unifix cubes, pattern blocks,dominoes, 2-sided beans,colored tiles, etc. using 2 colors of each. Students create then copy onto paper and keep in a math folder. Later we write the number sentence that goes with each representation.I also have a numeral writing center with chalkboards and white boards.
