Please don't feel isolated in feeling the way you do. I have been teaching for years and still remember feeling the way you do now. Our profession is a demanding one but also very, very rewarding. The first few weeks of school can be trying even for veteran teachers!

Take one day at a time and don't be too hard on yourself. I know you will feel differently in just a few short weeks. You have worked very hard to become a teacher and you should be proud of your accomplishment.

I agree that most people share your feelings on a new job. Think of it this way...just the fact that you care enough to share your feelings and ask for suggestions shows that you are already a dedicated professional.
