It's early days yet to be considering if you made a good career choice. Even if you had become an accountant you would be overwhelmed and confused by your first job, don't you think? I can't imagine anyone just walking into a doctor's shoes and feeling comfortable the very first week or so!

What you describe is pretty typical of new teachers. Try to give it a few more weeks before you start judging yourself. You sound like you really want to make this work. Keep coming back here for a dose of support and caring when you need it. And use those three wonderful ladies at your school for all they're worth. They are your lifeline and your mentors. Talk over with them any serious career changes you have in mind. They're sure to talk you out of it!
