This will be my 12th year of teaching but I was only allowed 6 years experience when I switched districts last year. So I will be on 8th step with my masters and will earn $42788. I pay over $400 a month for family health insurance (most of my premium is covered by the district) and also have deductions for union dues, state & federal taxes, and retirement. I may have $1000 a year stipend for lead teacher responsibilities.
