I make 34,000 with 14 years and a masters. The district pays for my health insurance but by the time I pay for my children's and retirement I only bring home about 70% of that. I will get $5000 for my career ladder. It's not much to live on when the price of gas is so high and the districts are so spread out. I am 23 miles from school and it is the district that we live in!! I guess it's better that when I first started, I made $18,000!!!!
