Clip to ScrapBook
Thanks for the congrats. Now here's the really sick part--the teacher next to me retired this year. She walked out of her classroom, left it lock, stock and barrel. The other 3 of us in the grade jumped on her stuff like
starving pirahnas!! What did I get? RESOURCE BOOKS I DIDN'T ALREADY HAVE!!! As if I needed any more!!

Of course, trash diving at school is just generally compulsive. The new teacher to replace the retiree has been up there beginning her purge. Another teacher and I were up there just today going through the trash box in the hallway!!! I found discarded stickers--still in
the package! I got snowflakes and snowmen, penguins, pumpkins, frogs, etc. The other teacher found a couple of library books--new ones!! Poor dumb new teacher--she just doesn't know what a gold mine she's in. At our school anything you don't want (furniture wise) you put in the hall for the scavengers. This new teacher had an old computer desk out there. I took the top shelf. There's also a bookcase with the back falling off. It'll be gone tomorrow. Books and that sort of thing go on a table in the workroom. It's usually empty by late afternoon. We are sad, sad people! Ha! But it's such fun being compulsive packrats!
