Risers
By Phyllis

Clip to ScrapBook
I had risers built in the corner of my classroom. They were large enough that 20 fourth grade students could sit on them at once. We use them for storytime, for lessons shown on the classroom TV connected to the computer, and as a place for children to sit when they had finished their work. The rule was NO TALKING on the risers. They were built of particle board (cheaper than plywood) and covered with carpet. I saw some at the Oak Ridge Children's Museum and copied them. Good luck with the project.
