third grade..

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year was my first and only year with a money system (I am moving to first grade this year). We gave the kids a weekly pay of $6...provided that they didn't move their behavior card off green. I also gave a bonus to kids for various reasons. Then two times per month we would visit the "school store". My teaching partner and I would pick up things at garage sales and take parent donations for items. We had a crayon maker, a Sponge Bob talking cookie jar, cameras, picture frames, toys... I found it was a great way to get rid of gifts from kids of years past. It went great and the kids loved it! Some saved their money for the big ticket item and food was always a HUGE hit!

Good luck!
