New Lead Teacher

Well, it looks like I am going to be the new team leader for fourth grade. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas about being an effective team leader? Let me give you a little background on the situation: There are 6 fourth| grade teachers. Last year's lead teacher and one other teacher are being moved to other grades, one of my Bi-lingual teachers will either do a 3/4 split again next year or go back th 3rd. Another teacher is looking at moving back to her hometown. This means that I could possibly have 3 or 4 new teachers. The only sure thing is my other bilingual teacher. The principal has already filled | |
one of the positions with a person who has been at the school for several years as a support personnel position, but is now a certified teacher. I am still unsure of the other position(s). Any advice would be appreciated.
