I don't know if this would work with fourth graders--but it worked very well with my second graders. I turned it into a game...if I talked in the hallway (to anyone) they won. They could not try to get me to talk. If they talked, I won. If no one talked, they won. When they won they would earn marbles in the marble jar. Like I said, I don't know if it would work with 4th graders, but it worked for me.
