Lining Up
By SSIA

Clip to ScrapBook
Some things I have done:
Counting the letters in their name (first, last, or middle) or their birthdate. When doing multiplication, I'll have them line up if that number is a multiple of 3, multiple of 4, multiple of 7, etc. I use factors as well. If your number is a factor of 36. It gets them familiar with the multiplication vocabulary.
Birthdays
Color of their shirt (the main color). If I call green, they try to find a small speck on their shirt of green =)
What they ate for breakfast.
Even and odd numbers of birthdays, letters in their names, name number.

I hadn't thought of phone numbers or vowels. Some great ideas!
