make a list of everything that needs to be done before your break.

now prioritize--what will need to be done first? (for example, i had to do my report cards 4 days before the end of school, so that had to be done
before cum. files and before i packed up)

now make a goal to do everything that needs to be done by tomorrow.

set a timer for as long as you think it should take you for the first task +5extra minutes. ("race the clock" is one of my favorite motivators!)

shut and lock your door to keep yourself from leaving to chat and to keep others from coming in.

allow
yourself a small treat after each task is done. (usually my small treat is still a work-related task, but something more fun, interesting, easy...like spending 10 minutes cleaning out my old email.)

write all the tasks you have to do somewhere conspicuous (i like to write really large and in color on the board), and as you accomplish a task, erase it or draw a line through it.

get some ice, put it in a bowl to melt (maybe a bit of water), take a handkerchief, dunk it, tie it around your neck.

drink lots of water!

put on some fun, energetic music! (i just bought the Crazy Frog CD--you know, who did the updated Axel F. song---i am bouncing all over the place!)

good luck!:)
