In response to what the last few people have written, I have my kids write down their assignments on a sheet that is labeled Monday-Thursday but no subjects are listed since we may not have a variety of subjects assigned in a given week.

Late assignment sheets are given out every day that a kid doesn't have his/her homework. He/she must get it signed every day. I have one that also acts as a bench slip that must be signed but one of the yard duties. I found that some years, having the kids do their work during recess is the only way to handle things.

I have the papers scanned in along with other organizational materials if anyone needs them.
