My mother was called Me-me. It took her MONTHS to decided on this. Her first choice was Mamaw. I'm from the south, and my son (the 1st grandchild and great-grandchild) was already going to have 3 Mamaws at birth, so we insisted Mother settle on something else.

Often times, the child will come up with something on their own. I was the oldest grandchild, and one of my grandmothers wanted to be Grandmother (it really fit her personality), but I insisted she was Mamaw and it stuck.

I have a friend whose last name is Gunn. To her 6 grands she and her husband are Gunny and Gunpa.

I've also known a Honey, several Nonnas, a Two-Mama and a Tiger (don't ask).

Have fun with that grandbaby whatever you settle on.
